8 tips for using a diesel generator set after starting up. Many people believe that after a diesel generator set starts up normally, there is no need to take care of it. However, this is not true because it is the easiest time for a diesel generator set to malfunction. So it is also necessary to conduct regular inspections at this time to ensure the normal operation of the generator set.

1. Place the voltage selection switch on the switch screen in the manual position;
2. Turn on the fuel switch and fix the fuel control lever at the throttle position of around 700 revolutions per minute;
3. Use the high-pressure oil pump switch handle to manually pump oil continuously until there is pump resistance and the fuel injector makes a crisp creaking sound;
4. Place the oil pump switch handle in the working position and push the pressure reducing valve to the pressure reducing position;
5. Start the diesel engine with a hand crank or by pressing the electric start button. When the diesel engine reaches a certain speed, quickly pull the reduction shaft back to the working position to ignite and start the diesel engine;
6. After starting the diesel engine, turn the electric key back to the middle position, and the speed should be controlled at 600-700 revolutions per minute. Pay close attention to the oil pressure and the indication on the gauge (see various diesel engine manuals for the working oil pressure value). If there is no indication of oil pressure, stop the machine immediately for inspection;
7. If the unit operates normally at low speed, the speed can be gradually increased to 1000-1200 revolutions per minute for preheating operation. When the water temperature is between 50-60 ℃ and the oil temperature reaches around 45 ℃, the speed can be increased to 1500 revolutions per minute. The frequency meter on the distribution screen should be around 50 Hertz, and the voltage meter should be 380-410 volts. If the voltage is too high or too low, the magnetic field variable resistor can be adjusted;
8. If the unit is working normally, the air switch between the generator and the negative load can be closed, and then the negative load can be gradually increased to transmit power to the outside;
Kind reminder to everyone: 1. All types of diesel engines should be started according to the requirements of their diesel engine maintenance manual. 2. If the unit is stored for too long during voltage regulation, the generator will lose magnetism and the voltage cannot be established. At this time, the battery can be used for magnetization. When magnetizing, the magnetic field winding L1 (+) should be connected to the positive pole of the battery and L2 (-) should be connected to the negative pole of the battery, and must not be connected incorrectly. 3. If the button is pressed for 10 seconds and the ignition cannot be started, wait for about one minute before starting again. If it fails three times in a row, the cause of the fault should be identified before starting again.
