As one of the most important components of a diesel generator set, the starter motor should pay attention to the following points when in use: 1. After the preparation work is done, lift the start button, and the diesel engine gears will mesh with the flywheel ring gear and start running. Under normal circumstances, it can be started in one go. If the first start is unsuccessful, the starter armature must be completely stationary before proceeding to the next start. Otherwise, the starter gear will be severely impacted with the diesel engine ring gear and damaged.
2. The starting time should not exceed 5 seconds each time, and the interval between two starts should be greater than 2 minutes.
3. When the engine fails to start several times in a row, the starter, diesel engine, battery, and wiring should be checked, and the fault should be eliminated before starting again.
4. Once the diesel engine is started, the start button should be immediately released to allow the starter gear to return to its original position and stop working, in order to prevent damage to the starter due to overspeed.
